Ethan Gutmann, Simon Gross, myself and many others, have for the last 5 years, been involved in an investigation into the live organ harvesting of political and religious dissidents in China. We recently published an article in The Weekly Standard that got some decent attention in the New York Times as well as others. You can download a full PDF of the article here.
Now that this article has gone live we can reveal that we have been working on a documentary too. I originally found Enver Tohti in East London back in 2008 when I was in the midst of an intense research period for this doc and recorded a four-hour interview with him detailing how he was coerced into performing an organ harvesting operation. To my knowledge this the first-ever recording of a surgeon’s confession on this subject. I will put up a video clip of this interview soon when we have completed the website for our documentary project, this should be up in mid-January. If you want to stay informed, fill in the form at the bottom of this post.
Below is a short sysnopsis and teaser trailer
Shalu “The Slaughter” Part 1 – An investigation into the mechanics of mass murder. A documentary that uncovers the grim reality behind the Chinese Communist Party’s treatment of political and religious dissidents. Through first-hand testimony you will hear from the perpetrators and witnesses how the CCP orchestrated a highly profitable system of harvesting organs from prisoners of conscience consisting of Tibetans, Uighurs, House-Christians and Falun Gong practitioners.
Through their own words you will come to understand how the CCP committed one of the most heinous crime against humanity in modern history.
